LOOKING FOR FUNDING? :: GRANT WRITING
I've written and overseen dozens of grants in my time as a non-profit administrator, and in the process I've helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. Some keys to my approach:
-Make and maintain contact with the grantmaker, asking for guidance along the way.
-Use a clear, concise style that doesn't sound like overblown PR.
-Directly answer each question posed by the grant guidelines.
-Echo the funding priorities of the grantmaker within the grant.
-Present a statistical case for the effectiveness of your organization's program.
I'm also familiar with grant research techniques and many specific funding opportunities available on the local, statewide, and national level.
Unfortunately, I can't post any of my past grants as part of my portfolio because of the sensitive information involved.
