WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY SHOULD I CARE? :: JOURNALISM

My work appears regularly in a few Austin publications, including Austin Chronicle, Austinist, and UT Law. I write about a wide range of topics, from culture to politics, travel to constitutional law. For me, the best thing about freelance journalism work is getting the chance to learn and explore so many different subjects.

Having worked as an editor, I can appreciate the hard work that editors do, and I pride myself on being considerate and easy to work with.

Please go ahead and check out examples of my general-interest journalism and trade articles, or jump away from this site to see my author pages at Austin Chronicle and Austinist.

I'm conversant in a variety of tones, including but not limited to:

-bottom-line oriented business and legal journalism

-informal, irreverent blogging

-immersive, first-person creative non-fiction

-erudite culture and books journalism
